Ashley Gregory promoted to maiden Donington Park win in MINI Challenge

11 / 09 / 2025

Ashley Gregory has been promoted to a maiden victory in Round 13 - a Donington Park win following an official MINI Challenge statement released on Tuesday 10 September 2025. The result amendments also move her into fifth in the championship standings, adding fresh momentum at a crucial stage in the season. This significant moment marks her first Donington Park win in the series.

The statement read: “Prior to the inspection of the gearbox differential of car #38 by the independent specialist, and following the team's own investigation, Westbourne Motorsport provided a written statement declaring that the part failed to comply with Article 5.9.4 of the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE Trophy Sporting and Technical Regulations. With the part having been fitted ahead of Round 10 at Croft on 28 June, car #38 is therefore excluded from the results of Rounds 10–15 inclusive.”

For many drivers, Donington Park is regarded as a favourite thanks to its fast flowing corners and heavy braking zones. For Ashley, to secure her maiden win in the series there makes it an especially significant result in her career.

Securing a Donington Park win demonstrates Ashley's growth and her determination to succeed in the competitive landscape of the MINI Challenge.

The same announcement also revised the Croft results, where Ashley has been promoted to second place in Round 11. Croft is her personal favourite with its tight layout and challenging rhythm, so a podium there is a huge reward after leading until the penultimate corner where contact forced her out wide.

These promotions also reshape the championship picture. With valuable points added to her tally, Ashley now sits fifth in the MINI Challenge standings. Every point is vital as the season edges closer to its conclusion, and this shift strengthens her position as the fight continues.

Motorsport often brings twists long after the chequered flag, and Ashley's determination on track ensured she was in the right place to benefit from these updates. Supported by her team, she has worked tirelessly to maximise every opportunity, and these results reflect that commitment.

Attention now turns to the final two rounds at Silverstone and Brands Hatch, where Ashley will aim to carry this momentum forward and push for even more success before the season comes to a close.
